Jakarta, 6 November 2025 — In conjunction with the 2025 National Teachers’ Day celebration, PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) and PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IDX: IPCC) reaffirmed their commitment and strengthened their strategic collaboration to support young talent development through the Port Connect 2025 program. Carrying the theme “Confident Youth, Connected Ports, Stronger Economy,” this initiative serves not only as an educational platform but also as a symbol of synergy between academia and the port industry, as well as a manifestation of the companies’ sustainable social and environmental responsibility.

Held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, the event brought together 100 key participants consisting of students, lecturers, and industry practitioners. Featured as keynote speakers were Dwi Rahmad Toto Sugiarto (Director of Commercial & Business Development, PTP Nonpetikemas) and Sugeng Mulyadi (President Director, IPCC), who delivered the Port Insight Talk – Business Multipurpose Cluster. The discussion highlighted that multipurpose ports play a broader role beyond cargo transit—serving as integrated economic hubs through the formation of business clusters.

In addition to knowledge-sharing sessions, the event also included a Thematic Discussion involving students from the Public Relations & Digital Communication Program and the Port Management & Maritime Logistics Program, moderated by experienced academics and practitioners. This segment provided an interactive dialogue platform, enriching students’ perspectives on the dynamics of the port industry while cultivating cross-sector collaboration.

The companies’ dedication to education was further demonstrated through the provision of educational support equipment for outstanding students from both study programs. This initiative reinforces PTP Nonpetikemas’ and IPCC’s commitment to empowering young talents to better prepare them for global challenges.

Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Dr. Kurniawati, M.Si, stated:

“Introducing students to the corporate and port industry environment serves as an entry point for broadening their horizons. It shows that career opportunities are not limited to public service—working in the private sector can be one of the best career paths.”

President Director of IPCC, Sugeng Mulyadi, added:

“For IPCC, Port Connect is strong evidence that cross-company collaboration with the academic world can produce a generation that is not only confident but also globally competitive. We remain committed to initiatives that strengthen the port ecosystem while delivering positive social impact.”

Director of Commercial and Business Development at PTP Nonpetikemas, Dwi Rahmad Toto Sugiarto, emphasized:

“We believe the future of the port industry depends on young talents who are innovative and driven. Port Connect serves as a bridge between academia and industry, while also fostering social awareness toward education.”

As part of the event, students also took part in the “Add Yours” Instagram Story Competition with the theme “A Day in My Life.” This activity encouraged creativity in documenting their experience while extending the program’s educational message through social media.

In line with the Go Green spirit embedded in every activity—reflecting the sustainability principles upheld by both IPCC and PTP Nonpetikemas—all participants were introduced to the Zero Plastic Waste campaign and received eco-friendly tumblers, promoting the use of refillable drinking containers.

Port Connect 2025 stands not only as an educational forum but also as a symbol of sustainable collaboration between the port industry, academic institutions, and the community.
